I guess I could start with the Sweet Girl snippets I’ve been writing down on an index card.
#1
As I was leaving to go to WalMart to buy snacks for our Lagoon trip, I asked Sweet Girl if she wanted to come along. "Why?" she asked. "What all are you getting?" "Just some snacks for our trip," I replied. "Oh, well then… nope," she said. "I thought you liked going shopping with Mommy?" I asked. "I do," she said. "But only when there’s toys involved."

After she got home from preschool, she was showing me the day’s papers. One of them was a dinosaur coloring page, with only a couple splashes of color on it.
SG: I didn’t have time to finish it.
Me: I see that. Well, you can always finish it here.
SG: Ehhh.
Me: What, don’t you want to finish coloring it?
SG: That’s a boring dinosaur. I only like dinosaurs that do ballet.

She and Munchkin were having a friendly sibling argument in the back seat over whether or not she had a chicken butt. (You can thank my sister for starting that one.)
"Sweet Girl’s got a chicken butt!" squealed Munchkin in glee. "No I don’t!" retorted Sweet Girl.
"Yes she does."
"No I don’t."
"Yes she does."
(I’m going to skip a few rounds. Trust me, you’re not missing much.)
"Sweet Girl’s got a chicken butt… bawk, bawk!"
*Heavy sigh heaved* "What. Ever."
Pause.
"That means stop, you know."
Let’s see… in other news, we went to Lagoon a couple weekends ago. Yep, it’s officially spring - the To-Do Family has made their inaugural trip to Lagoon! LOL We got Little Man his own season pass this year. He didn’t enjoy all the rides, but the rides he liked - hoo boy, did he like! His obsession with all things cars-related was in full force, as we made round after round after round on the guided cars ride. Phooey - those pics aren’t edited yet. I’ll add those later.
On the way home, we finally did something we’ve been saying we should do "sometime"… we stopped at the Malad Gorge scenic overlook. At sunset. Gorgeousness. The photos do not in any way portray the depth of that gorge!

There’s a cool waterfall waaay in the back.

Kiddo and Munchkin searching for projectiles

Yes, those are cow patties they’re tossing into the gorge. They were tossing stuff to see how long it took to reach the bottom.
And then I sanitized them! LOL
Oh, and don’t you just *love* the bird poo on the informational placard? *shudder* This was a little hike off the parking area - if you look in the background, you can see the rust-colored bridge you walk across - and to the right of the bridge (center of photo) there is a little dark blur. That would be our honkin’ huge dark red truck, looking smaller than a toy from this distance.

The family walking back across the bridge. The minivan is on the freeway.
Speaking of it being springtime, I got some great pics of Sweet Girl and Little Man playing outside the other day…

"Whatzat?"

I know he’s my kid, but I just can’t get enough of those chocolate eyes!

Sweet Girl has always had a thing for dandelions. She was ecstatic to see that this year’s crop is coming on nicely, lol.

"I wish…." (that the veins in my forehead didn’t show up so much? LOL)
Today was a spectacular day for Kiddo. He’s legal now!!

In fact, he’s driving Munchkin to baseball practice as I speak… ahh, bliss.
And last (for this post anyway, it’s already gargantuan length… I have another great post full of Sweet Girl goodness) but not least… my sweet sister had a birthday yesterday!!

She got quite a bit of good loot! And just because I thought it was cute, here’s the card I made her…

My fingertips are still stained yellow! LOL

My mom made her a really cute cake. (IdahoMomma collects teapots.)

And we all met at a great local Mexican restaurant for dinner. Yeah, she’s gonna kill me for this.

But it’s worth it. I love you, sis!
