first night of 6
So whatcha think… does she look older? LOL
She had a fabulous day! She is so much fun. I’m so happy she came to our house!
And just for shameless showoff measures… her cake.

6 Years ago today, my wonderful OB agreed that it was rather rude of Sweet Girl to refuse to leave her private bed-and-breakfast, and gave the eviction orders. We went in early the next morning and started the induction; it was an interesting experience. Despite her decision to finally show up while her daddy was at lunch, we were thrilled when Sweet Girl finally made her appearance.
Then I blinked. Nearly six years sped by with that blink…
Tonight is her last night of being 5. She asked me to take some photos tonight, and then take more photos in the morning - so she can see how much older she’ll look.
Ah, Sweet Girl, how boring our lives would be without you.
About 10 years ago, I made a cute Family Home Evening assignment chart. When I made it, we were about to start building the house we’re in now, but we hadn’t picked out any colors or anything yet, so I used very blah colors to paint the chart. You can kind of see it in the background of this photo (please excuse Little Man’s ginormous head).
The other main problem with it was that it only had 4 names - me, DH, Kiddo and Munchkin. Sweet Girl has been asking for about 3 years now when I was going to put her name on the chart. Well, I finally got around to having DH sand all the old paint off and totally redid it this weekend.
You like? This time I put the jobs on the board and the names are on hearts to hang on the appropriate peg. Oh, and yes, there are 7 pegs, and no, it’s not an announcement. I’m adding the kids’ friend V into our rotation, since he’s been at 95% of our FHEs since last October or so.
It’s Career Week at Sweet Girl’s school. Today they were encouraged to dress up like what they want to be when they grow up.
Can you guess what Sweet Girl wanted to dress as?
Here’s a hint. If you said "weather girl" you’d be wrong (and if you said it in front of Sweet Girl, you’d get a withering glare).
The correct answer is "meteorologist."
Yeah.
