Silly kids… what will I do without them?
Little Man is about the age that Sweet Girl was when she came up with her funniest stuff. She’s slowly growing out of that stage, and now I’m wondering… what will I do for blog material once Little Man outgrows his funny stage? LOL
Take, for instance, the totally random thought process he had tonight. My good friend Jami called and asked if we wanted to meet up and take the little ones to McD’s for half price happy meals tonight. Sure thing! We sat and chatted for two lovely hours, give or take a few interruptions for her to rescue my kids from the top of the climbing area (thanks again, dear). We had a lot of fun… but eventually it was time to leave. As we followed her out the exit, I wondered why she was taking her time making a right-hand turn, when there was no traffic. Then I noticed a mama duck, with several ducklings in tow, crossing the road. "Awww! How cute," I said, pointing out the sight to Sweet Girl and Little Man. They appropriately oohed and aahed as we watched the duck family cross.
"That’s not something I’d expect to see in the city," I said.
Sweet Girl chimed in, "Yeah, it’s not exactly duckland here."
"Duckwand? Dat’s funny!" giggled Little Man. "Duckies are sooo cute! I dust wuv wittle duckies." He sighed. "But I wike super hewoes bedduh. Dey can fwy widout wings."
Um. OK! LOL
