of course!

I don’t have to worry about blog material once Little Man grows bigger… I still have teenagers.

On my moms message board this afternoon, we were sharing ideas of what to do with the whole wheat we have stored, so I pulled out a few recipes I got at an Enrichment night a few months ago and typed up a few. I realized about then that I hadn’t yet had lunch (or breakfast, for that matter) and decided to whip up a batch of blender waffles.

I pulled everything out and got started - and apparently the noise of the blender scared Kiddo. He came running (well, almost) out of the office, yelling, "What’s that?" (Poor thing. I interrupted his Facebook communion. :giggle:) I looked up from the blender and said, "A blender."

He was mostly successful at withholding the eyeroll and said, "No, what are you making?" "Blender waffles," I replied. "Waffles? In the blender?" he repeated dubiously. "Yes, dear," I smiled, holding up the recipe for him to see, "that’s why they’re called blender waffles!"

One scathing look later, he retreated to the computer and turned up the volume on his iPod. Poor thing. :giggle:

BLENDER WAFFLES

1 cup whole wheat kernels

1 cup milk

Add:

1/2 cup milk

1/2 cup oil or margarine

2 eggs

4 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

Blend until well mixed. Pour into hot waffle iron and bake.
