Happy Birthday, BlackeyedSue

Filed under: general insanity - Taffi @ 9:46 am

I have this great friend… we’ll call her Black Eyed Sue. I think you might know of her. She’s a great blogger and also a fantastic hair stylist. She’s a fabulous friend, too - always looking out for others.

But best of all… she’s an amazing woman that is dedicated to her family and her faith. I admire her for many reasons and hope to someday be able to meet her. ;)

Today is Sue’s birthday! If you can, please mosey on over to her blog and wish her all the best birthday wishes you can think of!

Luv ya Sue!

and he’s only 3?

This morning I sent Little Man up to get dressed.

He came down stairs in just a pair of underwear.

"Little Man," I laughed. "Aren’t you missing two pieces of clothing?"

"Oh my doodness!" he said, and laughed his way up to his room.

A few minutes later, I heard him coming down the stairs, giggling loudly.

From what I could see, he still only had on underwear.

"Little Man, you’re still nekkid!" I said.

"Noooo," he giggled. "I putted on two more cwothes! I have twee unnerwears on!"

This does not bode well for his teenage years.

Munchkin, sweet boy that he is, brought home presents for the kids. Sweet Girl is enthralled with the cuddly li’l starfish he brought her.

However, DH noticed its creepy potential right away. Turn it 180 degrees…

… and pull back three legs..

Photobucket

and voila! A creepy demon-like thing! Ahhh!

the long road home

Filed under: Munchkin, general insanity - Taffi @ 8:25 am

Every time I make the drive to the halfway point between my home and my ex-husband’s to exchange a child, I am struck by the vast nothingness we drive through.

Photobucket

Not only does the unoccupied land stretch as far as the eye can see in any direction…

Photobucket

… so does the never-ending road.

Photobucket

It’s a long road to travel. Eight or nine hours total driving time.

Photobucket

Hour upon hour of nothing to see except sagebrush, tumbleweeds and millions of squished crickets massed on the road.

Photobucket

Like I said, a very long road… through the middle of nowhere.

Photobucket

But totally worth it.

Welcome home, Munchkin.

I always knew I was born in the wrong era. LOL

As a 1930s wife, I am
Very Superior

Take the test!

I think I’d have scored higher, but I think wearing red nail polish and wearing pajamas instead of a nightgown counted against me. LOL
